How to Read Wheel Sizes?
Typically, you can find all the instructions in your RAV4s manual.
But let’s review those letters and numbers!
Let’s take this example: P225/70R16 91S.
P stands for the tire type. The 225 stands for the width. 70 is the aspect ratio, R is construction, 16 is the RIM diameter, 91 is the load index, and the S stands for speed rating.
The width from one sidewall to the next is always referred to as the tire width. Therefore, a tire marked “P225” is for a passenger car and has a nominal width of 225 millimeters.
Deliveries of aspect ratios are done in percentages. The aspect ratio is calculated by dividing the tire’s height off the rim by its width by tire manufacturers. For example, when a tire’s aspect ratio is 70, its height equals 70% of its width.
A frequent trade-off can include ride harshness. Lower aspect ratio tires, such as a 60 series, typically give vehicle handling performance advantages over higher aspect ratio tires, like the 75 series.
The letter R, which denotes the internal structure keeping your tire stable, appears after the aspect ratio.
There are two different construction styles that you could notice on a tire’s sidewall. R stands for the radial, and a D, B, or “-” stands for diagonal or bias play.
The rim’s diameter code, expressed in inches, is the following number, which is where the tire may be placed. A tire with the dimensions P225/70R16 91S, for instance, would fit a rim with a 16-inch diameter.
Your tire’s load index, shown after the rim size in the sequence, indicates how much pressure, in pounds, the tire can bear when it is completely inflated.
The speed rating is the last number in a tire size series. Your speed rating letter refers to a specific speed capacity based on a conventional laboratory test, just as your load index number corresponds to a particular load.
If you are wondering what rims are, in reality, the wheel’s “rims” are but one component.
The tire is held in place by the wheel’s outside edge. The outer circular pattern encircles the spokes’ and hub’s ornamental region.

Your car will stand out thanks to the engineering and design work.
Konig Illusion Wheel Rim
The Toyota RAV4 automobile fits these 17-inch wheels with a bolt pattern of 114.3 millimeters.
They are constructed of blue-tinted clear-coated aluminum alloy.
The engineering and design prevent dust from building up in the wheel and prolong its useful life.
RTX Black Widow Wheel Rims
These RTX rims are available for the Toyota RAV4 in well-liked black machined and standard sizes.
They have a ten-split spoke design and a spiderweb-like recess in the middle of the wheel, which provides your wheel with a fashionable appearance.
Road Ready Car Wheel Rims
Given that they are 17 inches in diameter, these rims are an excellent match for Toyota RAV4 vehicles from 2006 to 2014.
They are constructed of aluminum, have a painted silver finish, and are TPMS-compatible.
The bolt design is 17 inches by 114.3 millimeters.
Do Camry Wheels Fit the RAV4?
The center bore on Camry wheels is 60.1 mm, whereas that on RAV4 wheels is 60.0 mm. However, they are identical in size, breadth, and bolt pattern.
If the wheel is not perfectly aligned, as a perfectly sized bore does, the different bore sizes may cause vibration.
There is a 200–600 lb weight discrepancy between the Camry and Rav4 when looking up curb weights online, depending on the year.
To clear the brakes, you must also ensure that the offset and backspace are correct. The calipers on the RAV4 might be more significant.
So, the answer would be yes, but there is more to that. It is best to ask your mechanic for input based on the vehicle’s make and model.
Do Tacoma Rims Fit the RAV4?
The bolt pattern used by, for example, 2WD Tacomas is 5×4.5. Therefore, they ought to suit the RAVs rather well.
However, the 6×5.5 pattern is standard on the 4WD. Therefore, you will need an adapter.
The majority of 5 to 6-lug adapters are 2″ thick. That is a significant amount of offset to add, and it probably won’t turn out well.
So, the answer would be no – Tacoma rims will not fit the RAV4 because of the lug differences.
Will Corolla Rims Fit RAV4?
The majority of Corollas employ a 5×100 bolt pattern.
So, the Corolla wheels will not fit your Rav4 because it is 5×114.3 in size.
What is the Bolt Pattern on a Toyota RAV4?
Although Toyota’s lug designs differ from model to model, the 5×4 bolt pattern is the most prevalent.
